Isopogon anemonifolius is a local shrub that is found in many bushland areas around Sydney and also on top of Illawarra Escarpment. It has beautiful deeply divided leaves and reddish stems that make it a perfect feature plant, it also withstands shade quite well and once the flowers have finished the centres are left and turn into decorative cones. There are numerous differently sized cultivars of this plant available now such as ‘Worikee’ which are useful in border plantings or as an understory under large Eucalypts.
