Rainforest Shade

,

This image shows a well put together rainforest planting in full shade.

In the fore ground is a thick carpet of Adiantum formosum, they stand about half a metre high on black stems with delicate foliage. Then there is a large Asplenium nidus which must be the easiest and most rewarding fern to grow, on the tree trunk is a small clump of Dendrobium kingianum for colour. This garden bed has space, so even though it is full of plants it doesn’t feel cluttered due to the simple and minimal plant selection, making it feel peaceful and un-finnicky.
